Moroccan Inspired Garden Retford

This Moroccan inspired garden in Epworth was designed as a calm place to slow down and spend time together. Our clients love having family and friends over and wanted a space that felt relaxed, welcoming and easy to use all year round.

At the early stages, they struggled to visualise the space and how it could work. So we used VR to let them step inside their future garden and explore it before the build had even started. This made it easier to make informed decisions, adjust layouts and fine tune the design, with confidence in how it would feel once complete.

The brief was to create a garden with a Moroccan feel and a modern edge. Somewhere sociable, but not busy. Private, without feeling closed in.

A covered seating and dining area now sits beneath a timber pergola, complete with a heat source so it can be used well beyond the summer months. It’s become the main spot for hosting, with festoon lighting adding a warm glow in the evenings.

Elsewhere, we created a quieter seating area in the sunniest corner of the garden. Framed with planting and slatted screens, it feels tucked away but still connected to the rest of the space. A small coffee spot near the house offers another place to pause and enjoy the garden at different times of day.

Mediterranean planting brings colour and texture throughout the year, while automated irrigation keeps everything looking good without it becoming a full-time job.

It’s a garden designed to be enjoyed often, with minimal effort.
